I'm doing a series of paintings of screens from my favorite old video games as a for fun/nostalgia thing. They really are a lot of fun to do!

Looks like Mega Man didn't quite make it over the gap, to me... but then again, that was just part of the game.

Nice work.

He's still moving upwards - plenty of room to make the gap!

There used to be something you could press in that game where if you fell down a gap, you'd leap back out of it and be invincible. It was probably the only way I got through the game.

Well... admittedly, I get a pang of nostalgia every time Mega Man dies. I was never that good a player in the NES days...

Still, the fact that the Mega Man series was so hard is the reason I went back to it as an adult. Unfortunately, I can actually beat a few of them now.

Fortunately, however, I still have trouble accurately projecting the jumps. Meaning, of course, that I often land... well... actually, I don't know. Theoretically, those pits go down forever, don't they?

I think I could do alright these days but those stupid disappearing blocks get me every time. I don't know how I got past them when I was a kid!

For me, those are just a matter of a little practice and a lot of frustration. It's the mini-bosses that tend to give me a little more trouble...

Thanks! They're so much fun. I figure if I get a decent place soon I can put them on my walls.
